Number of Fields in Complex:  2 fields
General Comment:
There are 4 fields in total at Bloomington Park—2 softball fields and 2 little league fields. Bloomington is the oldest complex in Saint George they still play games at, but despite its advanced age it has held up nicely. Primarily used for little league at this point until Huntsman comes around. Fields are not used for Mesquite/Saint George SSUSA Spring World Championships in March every year.
Spectator Experience:
Spectator Seating:  Bleachers are not covered.
Snack Bar/Restaurant:   ☒ YES ☐ NO
Comments:  Snack bar/restroom building at center of the complex was recently remodeled and is no longer outdated.
Restroom Locations:  Restroom locations are between the two softball fields at the heart of the complex.
Playground For Kids:  ☒ YES ☐ NO
Picnic Area:  Very nice covered picnic area at the fields
Other Park Amenities:  Pickleball courts, disc golf, and basketball courts at the fields.
Spectator Experience Comments:
Night games are fine (games out of the sun), but trying to watch a game in the middle of the day without covered bleachers is potentially not fun. It’s great that the snack bar/restroom building got a facelift—it was sorely needed.
Player Experience:
Dug Out:  Dugouts are spacious and covered. Comfortable.
Warm Up Area:  There is small area to throw between fields. If you want to warm up, use the baseball fields
Batting Cages:  YES       ☒ NO
Adjacent Fields for Hitting:  ☒ YES ☐ NO
Field Dimensions:  300’ symmetrical fences
Field Conditions:  Fields are well maintained and very nice for the age of the park.
Scoreboard:  ☒ YES ☐ NO
Player Experience Comments:
There are baseball fields that potentially are available for lite batting practice (200’ fences, so you can’t go crazy). Those baseball fields are great for infield warm up and throwing as well. Dugouts are good. The fields are better than pretty much anything in Las Vegas and this is third or fourth best complex in Saint George. Having the Huntsman in Saint George, it keeps the fields looking/playing great.
Review Summary:
The Good:
1) Very well-maintained fields (both infield and outfield grass)
2) New center snack bar/restroom building is nice
3) Baseball fields convenient for warm up (if not in use obviously)
The Bad:
1) Only 2 fields
2) Non-covered bleachers in Saint George sun
The Ugly:
1) Same red dirt used at Canyons and other Saint George complexes, so expect to have stained clothes/socks
Overall Rating:
☒☒☒☐☐ (3.5/5)
