Spectator Experience Comments:
This is by far the best place to watch a game. Stands are great, but the real differentiator is the restaurant/Bar area. No other complex in Vegas has this. Getting out of the heat and cooling down while still being able to watch teams play is a great thing. While it’s true it’s expensive to get in the place, everyone wants to see BLD as the fields they have been assigned to play. Things do get pricey however, since you have to buy their food/drinks.
Player Experience:
Dug Out: Very nice dugouts that get you completely out of the sun.
Warm Up Area: There are places to throw between fields.
Batting Cages: ☒ YES ☐ NO
Adjacent Fields for Hitting: YES ☒ NO
Field Dimensions: Fields are sub-300’ fences. These fields are a launching pad for rock softballs (used in Vegas)
Field Conditions: Turf infields (including batting boxes) and grass outfields. Typical wear areas in the outfield
Scoreboard: ☒ YES ☐ NO
Player Experience Comments:
Turf infields are very nice. Vegas uses the rock softball, which flies off the bat, so getting the true hops in the infield that turf provides saves a lot of people from bad hops. Super easy to quickly exceed HR limits because balls fly out of the park. Be careful stepping out of the front of the batter’s box—you see this called at BLD more because you can not erase lines. Having batting cages there is nice for getting a few swings in before the game. The restaurant (with it’s A/C) makes surviving breaks between games much easier than sitting somewhere in the sun or outside. Overall, well worth the extra you pay to play here.
