General Information:
Entrance Fee: N/A (No entrance fee)
Cooler allowed: ☒ YES ☐ NO
Parking: Ample parking on multiple sides of the complex
Pet Friendly: ☒ YES ☐ NO
Number of Fields in Complex: 4 Fields
General Comment:
4 field complex in North Las Vegas. Fields are a part of a multi-sport complex that includes several soccer fields, a large track/stadium, and tennis courts (thrashed, but they are technically tennis courts). At the time of the review the bathrooms and snack bar were not available due to a fire that burned down much of the building that housed these facilities.
Spectator Experience:
Spectator Seating: Metal bleachers with a covered canopy provided for shade. Many picnic benches as well (not covered). Seating appears to be comfortable and does provide shade.
Snack Bar/Restaurant: YES ☒ NO
Comments: Hopefully re-built soon, but at time or review there is not a working snack bar available due to fire damage.
Restroom Locations: Outhouses (no joke) provided due to fact restrooms are not usable due to fire damage
Playground For Kids: ☒ YES ☐ NO
Picnic Area: Many picnic benches adjacent to fields
Other Park Amenities: Soccer fields, football fields, track for running
Spectator Experience Comments:
The park seating is comfortable for all watching. Biggest issue is lack of restrooms due to fire damage. It seems a stretch to believe the facility will be repaired before Master’s Championship in Sept/Oct 2018, but it’s possible.
Player Experience:
Dug Out: Completely shaded and well-maintained. Comfortable for entire team.
Warm Up Area: Ample area to throw prior to games and large soccer fields for hitting if unused.
Batting Cages: YES ☒ NO
Adjacent Fields for Hitting: ☒ YES ☐ NO
Field Dimensions: Symmetrical 300’ fences. Fences 12 feet high on field 4 only (street/parking lot protection).
Field Conditions: Rough grass spots in outfield. Infield in decent shape. No warning tracks in outfield, which is potentially scary for outfielders going back on balls.
Scoreboard: YES ☒ NO
Player Experience Comments:
Plenty of room to hit prior to games is a huge plus (if not in use). Large warm up areas to throw and stretch before playing. Dugouts and fields are decent, although some rough spots in outfield found. It is really odd to see a facility like this not have a warning track in the outfield. I personally don’t play outfield, but if I did, this would make me very uncomfortable if I needed to go back on a ball hit deep.
