General Comment:
Sunset Park has a total of 8 fields, 6 of which are softball playable. Site map includes the fields at corner of Warm Springs and Eastern (separate review). For the purposes of this review, we will look specifically at fields 5,6 and 11-14. Two of the fields are located with two little league fields with the remaining 4 fields (11-14) forming a 4 plex site solely for softball.
Spectator Experience:
Spectator Seating:  Uncovered metal bleachers. Bring sun protection.
Snack Bar/Restaurant:   ☒ YES ☐ NO
Comments:  There appears to be a snack bar in same center building as restrooms for fields 11-14
Restroom Locations:  Adjacent to fields
Playground For Kids:  ☒ YES ☐ NO
Picnic Area:  Yes—many picnic benches
Other Park Amenities:  See site map in video—lots to see and do at Sunset park including hiking, disc golf
Spectator Experience Comments:
Uncovered bleachers in the hot LV sun make for an uncomfortable experience without some sort of shade. Plan on brining some sort of umbrella and/or canopy if you plan on watching the game close to the bleachers. There are trees along foul lines and behind outfield fence if you do not have sun protection.
Player Experience:
Dug Out:  Covered and comfortable with warm up area adjacent to them on fields 11-14.
Warm Up Area:  Fenced off warm up areas, perfect for throwing or setting up tee for swings between innings.

Field Dimensions:  300’ symmetrical fences on all fields
Field Conditions:  Infield was in good shape; outfield grass was also in great shape at the time of this review.

Player Experience Comments:
Open fields all over park to find places to hit prior to games. Warm up areas convenient for throwing as well prior to game. Fields in decent shape for a city maintained complex. Dugouts are shaded and there are plenty of shaded picnic benches to rest at between games. All things (restaurants, pharmacies, grocery stores, etc) are a stones-throw away on Eastern Ave. You will hear/see a lot of planes coming in since park is just east of McCarran Airport.
Review Summary:
The Good:
1) Decent fields (middle-of-the-pack) that are ok to play on
2) Convenient to everything you would need before, between, and after games
3) Great shaded picnic areas very close to the fields (specifically fields 11-14)
The Bad:
1) No shade for spectators (really draining on hot days)
2) Lots of noise/distractions from airplanes
The Ugly:
1) Nothing too ugly (specifically surrounding fields 11-14) to report
Overall Rating:
